Iranian cleric calls for end to strategy of patience against Saudi crimes

Prominent Iranian cleric has expressed condolences over terrorist attack in southern city of Ahvaz demanding an end to strategy of forbearance against crimes committed by Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and US pawns in the Middle East region.

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, opened his weekly teaching session extended his condolences over killing of 25 people during the recent terrorist attack in Ahvaz calling for end to strategy of tolerance against crimes committed by Saudi Arabia and its allies, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Four members of Saudi-backed al-Ahwaziyah terrorist group have attacked armed forces and ordinary people during Saturday morning military parade in the Iranian southern city of Ahvaz killing 25 people among them a four-year-old child and a veteran of Iran-Iraq war.
 
“Here I recommend an end to strategy of tolerance against crimes by Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and the United States and give a proper response to their crimes as we are mighty to do so” said the cleric.
 
Member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts added,” Iran has never taken reciprocal measure in a bid to care for regional peace though if our tolerance is translated to their more aggression and jeopardizing our security then they deserve a mighty answer.”

 
Ayatollah Araki referred to Saudi and Emirati role in promoting Iran-Iraq war calling them partners of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in his war crimes and said,” If we have not taken any actions against those who aided Saddam Hussein in his atrocities against Iran, there should be no  more silence from now on.”
 
The cleric also called for determined actions against the United States of America.
 
As Iran has announced Monday public mourning, people in the southern city of Ahvaz attended funeral procession for 25 victims of terrorist attack during Saturday morning parade held to mark Week of Holy Defense.
 
Four assailants affiliated with al-Ahwaziyah terrorist group opened fire on the armed forces and civilians killing 25 people. Three of the gunmen were killed with the fourth one succumbing to his injuries later.
