"Taliban extremism to be followed by repercussions", analyst

Member of Lebanon's Amal Movement said the empowerment of Taliban in Afghanistan took place following an agreement between Afghan government, Taliban and some regional held in Qatar.

Khalil Hamdan, member of the Presidential Committee of Amal Movement, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) referred to an agreement reached between the Taliban and Washington following 20 years of US occupation stressing that Taliban extremism will lead to social and political repercussions, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said," Taliban has been known for its extremism and radical views during the past two decades and is unable to stop that approach" adding, "That extremist approach will be followed by political and social repercussions in near future provoking public protests, as it happened in Panjshir."
 
Khalil Hamdan related on the relations between Taliban with neighboring countries and the Muslim world and said," There are two challenges: one is the relations between the Taliban and US and the stance of the neighboring countries with the issue and the second challenge is the political and military thoughts by Taliban and their way of ruling particularly their diplomacy in regards to their neighbors."
 
When asked on the relation between Taliban and other terrorist groups, Lebanese thinker noted that Taliban will not allow Daesh to emerge and the two groups will be competing for winning publicity among Afghan nation.
