Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Abul Hassan Navvab, head of the University of Religions and Islamic Denominations in an interview with IQNA underlined the unifying potentialities of Hajj for unifying Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Hajj ritual is a hub of unity by nature though some Saudi propagandas pursue ways to turn Hajj into the means for division” adding,” Therefor, we should foil their moves and improve the relations in a bid to alleviate hostilities and activate the unifying potentialities of Hajj.”

Top cleric underlined the role of pilgrims, besides all institutions in charge of promoting unity during Hajj, and said,” Every individual pilgrim should turn into a preacher and promote solidarity.”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Navvab made the comments in the wake of departure of Iranian Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia following two years of COVID-related limitations imposed on the annual pilgrimage.

Saudi Arabia is admitting one million domestic and international Hajj pilgrims after two years of allowing merely those residing in the country to the ceremony.
