President Hassan Rouhani cabled a congratulation message on Monday to the Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma to felicitate the Sierra Leone government and people on the country's Independence Day.

In the message, President Rouhani voiced hope to witness expansion of political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

He prayed for health and success of Sierra Leone president and prosperity of the people and government.

The Republic of Sierra Leone celebrates its Independence Day on April 27. Sierra Leone proclaimed its independence from the United Kingdom in 1961.
