Five-year-old Rital Hajj Hussein died on Saturday during militants’ shelling of al-Foaa town in Idlib’s northern countryside.
According to the website of Lebanon’s al-Manar’s television network, Rital Hajj Hussein died on Saturday when terrorists shelled the town of al-Foaa, located in Idlib’s northern countryside.
Four other people were injured in the attack which was lunched despite a ceasefire being in place in the country.
Syria is currently observing a ceasefire brokered by Russia and the US, which entered into force on February 27. The truce, which was reached between the Syrian government and dozens of militant groups operating in the country, does not apply to the Daesh and al-Nusra Front terrorist groups.
However, renewed violence in some parts of Syria, particularly around Aleppo, has left the ceasefire in tatters and torpedoed peace talks on the conflict.
Syria's official SANA news agency also reported that one civilian was killed and six more wounded in a terrorist rocket fire in the northwestern province of Aleppo on Friday.
Meanwhile, Syrian and Russian jets have targeted the terrorists' last remaining supply route in Aleppo located in the city’s eastern regions.
