خبرگزاری ISNA , 20 Aug 2017 - 13:25

Iranian researcher hailed the satisfactory position of the country’s microsatellite industry vowing that the people will own their personal satellites in the next 20 years.

Manouchehr Manteghi, the head of Iran's National Space Center announced that the country has a good position in the microsatellites industry.

"The field of microsatellites is not a new arena to Iran," he said adding that currently 6 universities are working professionally on satellite projects.

He noted that the small satellites can do the work of larger satellites and added, "We can get the same result of a 7.2 tons satellite from the network of 24 satellites of 100kg".

"The prospect of the world in the next two decades is moving forward so that people can have personal satellites and control them with their mobile phones," Manteghi said.
