Massacre of Myanmar Muslims, absolute international crime

Former Egyptian Mufti denounced massacre of Muslim minority in Myanmar as an absolute international crime and called for suing the perpetrators behind the catastrophe.


Sheikh Ali Joma, prominent religious figure from Egypt, called the killing of Rohingya Muslims by Myanmar army and extremist Buddhists as “ethnic cleansing” and an absolute international crime which should be probed, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to a group allegedly shouting anti-government mottos in Myanmar and assimilated them to anti-government groups in Iraq and Syria adding that the move has turned into a pretext for Dhaka to crackdown Muslim minority in the country.
 
He warned against anonymous groups seemingly call for humanitarian aids for Rohingya Muslims and said,” Some people are planning to collect aids in order to prevent the oppressed Rohingya people receive the contributions from other countries.”
 
Former Mufti demanded the charitable people or groups to submit their contributions with renowned organizations and institutions.
 
Ali Joma called people to pray for an end to Rohingya Muslim issues and said,” What is happening to the Muslim minority in Myanmar is an absolute international crime which can be sued through International Criminal Court (ICC).
