Huj. Shahriari attends interfaith meetings with Iraqi luminaries in Kurdistan region

Secretary General of Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought arrived in Sulaimaniyah heading a delegation of Iranian executives to hold meeting with political and religious figures in Iraqi Kurdistan region.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, heading a delegation from Iran and in response to the invitation by scientific, religious and cultural figures, arrived in Sulaimaniyah on Friday welcomed by a number of Shia and Sunni clerics in the city, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Iranian senior scholar visited the tomb of Sheikh Abdul Karim Qadri Kasnazani, paying tribute to the late leader of Qadiriyya Tariqa (Sufi order) in Sulaimaniyah whose followers are living in 96 countries across the globe.
 
Iranian delegation was warmly welcomed by a number of prominent members of the Qadiriyyah Tariqa including Sheikh Shamsuddin Mohammed Nehru Kasnazan son of Sheikh Abdul Karim and the current leader of the Tariqa.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari led the communal prayer at the tomb of Sheikh Abdul Karim Qadri reciting verses of Qur’an for the late leader of Qadiriyyah Tariqa.
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought delivered speech at the meeting and related his views on three ways to reach Islamic unity following the path of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
 
Iranian delegation also detailed plans by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought regarding academic admission to students and professors between Qadiriyya Tariqa University and the University of Islamic Denominations as well as the conferences held in Iran.
