A group of Iranian Sunni prayer leaders attended the first meeting on harbingers of Ummah (nation) to discuss their views on ways to materialize new Islamic civilization.

More than 60 Sunni prayer leaders exchanged views in conference titled “Harbingers of Ummah, Friday Prayer Leaders of Sistan and Baluchistan Province” held in the capital Tehran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Seifaei, from Islamic Development Organization hailed Muslim scholars as “heirs to mission of prophets” in combatting atheism and said the event meant to discuss ways for operating the mission in the Islamic society.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Safari, cultural deputy at bureau of the Supreme Leader in Sunni Community of Sistan and Baluchistan hailed the conference an effort in line with settling disagreements, highlighting commonalities, better understanding each other and also materialization of the high objectives in the Islamic society.
 
Khalid Qoddumi, representative of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas in this conference related on the present situation of the people in occupied lands and also stances of the Islamic countries in regards to holy Quds.
 
The conference of Sunni prayer leaders was jointly held by bureau of the Supreme Leader in Sunni community’s affairs in Sistan and Baluchistan province, office of the religions and denominations affairs in Islamic Development Organization in line with hiring the capabilities of the Sunni community to materialize new Islamic civilization.
