Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organization (MAPIM) has denounced in strongest terms the recent Israeli attack against the consular section of Iran’s embassy in the Syrian capital calling for full boycott of the regime.

Azmi Abdul Hamid, the chairman of MAPIM, in a recent statement urged the UN Security Council for suspension of Israel membership at the United Nations in the wake of the Monday attack on Iran’s consular section in Damascus that martyred seven Iranian military advisors in Syria, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He deplored Israel’s global operation to gun down targeted individuals as a violation of the international conventions and demanded the UNSC to move a condemnation statement on the recent attack against Iranian diplomatic mission in the Syrian capital.

He said that the attack was a clear violation of the international law and warned that it could provoke an extended war as consented by the United States.

The Malaysian senior scholar stressed Iran’s right to defend its sovereignty and that the attack could not be left unanswered.

Azmi Abdul Hamid deplored the international community for failing to stop Israel aggressions in the Gaza Strip saying,” The vicious action by Israel signaled that Israel war in Gaza will escalate.”

He denounced the Israeli regime for the brutal and barbaric occupation of Palestinian lands.

In a Monday evening attack on Iran’s consular section in Damascus seven members of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), including two senior commanders, have been martyred.

Condemnations have poured in from across the globe stressing the international conventions that stress protection of the foreign diplomatic missions in countries.
