Over 60,000 Muslim Palestinians perform Eid prayers in Jerusalem's Aqsa

10 Apr 2024 - 16:22

More than 60,000 Muslim Palestinians worshipers Wednesday performed Eid al-Fitr prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the Israeli restrictions.

The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem indicated that a number of citizens who were forcibly removed from Al-Aqsa by the occupation authorities performed Eid prayers in the streets surrounding the mosque.

It is noteworthy that the alleged Jewish Temple groups are preparing to carry out a massive storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque next Sunday.
This evening, Israeli occupation forces shut down the entrances to the town of Ya'bad, north of the occupied West Bank, preventing citizens from entering or exiting the town, according to Palestinian security and local sources.
The sources told WAFA that the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the main entrance to the town, preventing Palestinian citizens from entering or leaving.
Simultaneously, the occupation forces intensified their presence and erected several checkpoints in the vicinity of villages northeast of the Jenin province in the north of the territory.
