Committee on the sideline of 30th International Islamic Unity Conference proposes launch of Islamic Proximity television Channel.

Media experts and elites participating 30^th International Islamic Unity Conference discussed ways for more powerful role of the media in boosting Islamic unity and confrontation with Takfiri (excommunication) movements, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Reza Shakeri, director of Taqrib News Agency in his speech highlighted the role of media in the world and said;” Colonial powers have launched hundreds of television channels and media outlets directed by a single center.”
 
He added,” Unfortunately we do not find unity or a central management among Islamic media; hence, a center to manage all Islamic media and coordinate the radio and television channels in the world of Islam to confront colonial media is undeniable.”
 
He proposed launch of multi-lingual Taqrib (proximity) television channel and stressed the potentiality of that as a controlling center for all Islamic media.
 
Zakariya Ghamar el Din, representative of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in Lebanon proposed the launch of a website to answer religious questions and also unveiling hypocritical policies of the US in the Middle East region.
 
Aqil Kazemi, Iraqi elite, participating the conference warned against Salafi domination of the media in the world of Islam as the reason behind Muslim issues expressing hope that moderate media can find a way to confront Takfiri groups.
 
Ali Amini, Iranian researcher referred to globalization as a fact and stressed,” Development of the media has brought great changes to the modern world and efforts for convergence of the Muslim media and clear expression of the stances of true Islam and also answering the questions are among measures which can be set on the agenda for globalization of the Muslim media.”
 
Media Committee, on the sideline of the 30^th International Islamic Unity Conference was held by elites, researchers and prominent figures in the field of media discussing the role of some Arab countries in sparking religious intrigues, role of arrogant media in sparking and intensifying conflict among Muslims, convergence of scholars and media in line with Islamic convergence, necessity of revealing the jeopardy of Takfir, enlightenment of the public mind, necessity of using the high potentialities of social networks, role of the media and realization of the unified Islamic nation and also mutual role of culture and media.
