Hajj, opportunity to introduce ethno-religious capabilities
Iranian Shia cleric has hailed Hajj as an opportunity to familiarize Iranian pilgrims with their ethno-religious capabilities stressing that to note these capacities will lead to more convergence and boosting national security.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ali Ra’eesi, manager of religious studies center in the Iranian southern city of Roudan in an interview with RASA News Agency (TNA) highlighted the importance of Hajj calling that as one of the most important principles of Islam with high individual and social capabilities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to the incidents during Hajj 2015 which sparked concerns among Muslim nations and said,” Hajj is in direct relations with our national security and if a massive number of Iranians are hosted by a country with who we do not have diplomatic ties and a background of incidents like Mina Stampede, will bring concerns.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Ra’eesi noted that Iran, with the high diversity in ethnic and religious groups, has a great capacity and Hajj pilgrimage is an opportunity for Iranian pilgrims to familiarize with ethno-religious capabilities of their country.
Iranian scholar also stressed that to note the diversity of ethnical and religious groups will lead to more convergence and boosting national and social security.
He referred to the role of Hajj in creating unity in the world of Islam and said,” Qur’an maintains Islamic nation as a nation of moderation and solidarity and these features necessitates avoiding extremism which is possible through a proper understanding of capabilities, thoughts and objectives of other denominations.”
According to the manager of the religious research center in Roudan familiarization with the high capabilities of other Islamic denominations will clear the misunderstandings.
“To witness these diversity can lead Muslims to the point that we can launch a great Islamic civilization as a unified and Qur’anic nation based on the high capabilities and unity with our religious brothers to release from domination of western governments.” said the scholar.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Ra’eesi concluded that such understanding on capabilities of Muslims mandates a great congregation of Muslims in Hajj.
