Ayatollah Araki urges Iran and Saudi Arabia to work in tandem

Head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki underscored  the importance of cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia in tacking the standing problems in the Islamic World, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA). 


Speaking with the new Saudi Arabia envoy, Abdorrahman Qarman Al Shahri, to Iran, the religious cleric underlined if the two countries work in tandem and based on a united strategy, they can go through the standing setbacks and predicament Muslims in differnet countries are mired in. 


“Muslims should not role on non-Islamic countries for solving their problems", said the grand Ayatollah stating that Islamic clerics in Iran are after cooperation and collaboration with other religious clerics worldwide. 


Head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought mentioned that such collaboration would be welcomed, obviously enough, by the United Nations as well. 


Ayatollah Araki while pointing towards conspiracies of enemies to wage religious war said that peace committee of Islamic world can play an effective role in reducing complications of Muslim world. 


Regarding the establishment of Islamic peace committee, the religious cleric earlier said that influential Shiite and Sunni Muslim leaders are members of this committee and they sit at talks so as to tackle the existing problems Muslims are wrestling with.

Ayatollah Araki voiced hope that this committee would prove effective to bring various Islamic religious groups close to each other.
