Greatest Islamic pulpit turned into pulpit for disunity
Sheikh Sohaib al Habli, Sunni prayer leader of Ibrahim (AS) Mosque in Sidon slammed the operation of Saudi Arabia in Hajj pilgrimage saying that Hajj pulpit in Mecca and Medina has turned into a pulpit for intrigues and carrying out hostile plots while it used to be famous as a pulpit for Islamic unity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the final statement of Chechnya conference on Sunni community calling the event as a turning point against threatening deviations harassing the Sunni Muslims only because of extremist operations.

He added,” Extremist groups have hijacked the honorable title of Sunni Muslim and expelled its original members.”

Lebanese cleric rebuked Saudi scholars’ operation and noted,” Mecca and Medina pulpits used to be the pulpits for Islamic unity while they have turned into opportunities for the enemies to carry out their anti-Islamic intrigues.”

Sheikh Habli added,” A review over the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of the prophet of Islam, shows that pulpits of Islam were all used to make movements in the world and focus on the issues of Muslims while the same pulpits are used by the ruling families for distracting attentions from the world of Islam.”

“How can we accept the greatest pulpit in the world is ignoring the issues of Muslims and is concerned over issues of the Zionist regime and Takfiri (excommunication) groups?” demanded the cleric and stressed,” Those who stand behind these pulpits are all supporters of Takfir and Zionism rather than annihilating them.”

Sunni Friday prayer leader of Sidon called Mecca and Medina pulpits as a factor for satisfaction of enemies of Islam and said,” Non-Muslims cannot convene their nations to a great gathering like Islamic Hajj pilgrimage even with great finances and efforts.”
