Defending Rohingya Muslims is upon Islamic countries: religious jurisprudent.

"Defending the innocent and persecuted Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar is a duty upon all Muslims and humans across the globe," stressed the religious jurisprudent, Ayatollah Hussein Mazaheri, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

"The plagued situation and bloodshed in Myanmar caused international concern," stressed the religious cleric noting it is incumbent upon Muslims and international organizations to make a move and prevent further ethnic cleansing in the area.

The religious cleric slammed the persisting violence against the minority group of Muslims warning of its possible fallouts.
