Committee of International Union of Resistance Scholars:
“Iran, axis of Islamic resistance”
Committee of the International Union of Islamic Resistance Scholars held meeting on the second day of the 30th International Islamic Unity Conference hailing Iran as the axis of Islamic resistance.

The committee was held to discuss four main axes: role of Muslim scholars in solidarity of Muslims, role of the elites in denunciation of Takfir (excommunication) and terrorism, role of scholars in Hezbollah, issue of Palestine and Syria, issue of Palestine and Zionist atrocities against al Quds and also realization of achievements by the union, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought referred to the several letters to different countries regarding proposals by the committee.
He expressed hope that resistance scholars can play their effective role in confrontation with Takfiri movements whose effort is to distort the resistance and issue of Palestine.
Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, deputy of the committee noted that resistance is the key to dynamicity of Islamic nation saying,” Enemies spare no effort to damage solidarity of the Islamic nation while Islamic resistance can defend Islamic nation and its honor.”
Sheikh Naeem Ghassim, Hezbollah deputy referred to the experiences of Hezbollah and the resistance hailing the victory of the movement against Zionist regime to pull them back from their country.
Sheikh Akram al Ka’abi, secretary general of Iraq’s Nojaba Islamic Resistance in his remarks stressed,” We as Islamic resistance scholars in Iraq believe that all intrigues in the region are hatched by the Zionist regime and the US” adding,” Americans are in pursuit of creating blocks in Iraq and promote their objectives through ISIL terrorists though Hashd al Shabi (public mobilization) including: Shia, Sunni and Kurds are defending their country wholeheartedly.”
Sheikh Hessan, executive manager of the scholars’ society of Lebanon stressed necessity of reviving the issue of Palestine demanding for writing a statute for the union and a domestic scheduling of the group.
Hujjaat-ul-Islam Seyyed Mousa Mousavi, deputy of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, said the objective behind launching the union is to transmit the ideology to the public and proposed that resistance scholars express their thoughts in the form of a media and inform the people over their decisions.
Sheikh No’mani from Iraq hailed Islamic Republic of Iran as the hub of Islamic resistance and said,” Since Iran has a special status in the region, it has several enemies arrayed against the country” stressing that the way to safeguard ideologies of resistance scholars is to familiarize the younger generation with the thought and promote the culture for that.”
