Iran, flag bearer of peace and fraternity among religions

Top Iranian scholar visiting Brazil to attend conference on Muslims and confrontation with terrorism hailed Islamic Republic of Iran as the flag bearer of peace and fraternity among all religions.
Iran, flag bearer of peace and fraternity among religions
Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Seretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in an interview with local daily Folha De Sao Paolo praised the world forum for its unique strategy to bring peace and fraternity among different religions demanding those influenced by the Iranophobic propaganda to visit the country and discover the hostile image brought by the media, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” We are here from a country which is house to followers of different religions and Islamic denominations living in full coexistence and involved in all decisions of the country” and demanded,” Where in the world have you seen a parliament which includes representatives of different religions?”

The cleric called those influenced by the negative propaganda by the media to visit Iran in person and become familiar with activities of the world forum and then expand their views based on knowledge and not merely fake images by the media.

Iranian cleric referred to the stance of the world forum against oppression, hatred and terrorism for the past 45 years and said,” Is not a campaign against former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, ISIL and other terrorist groups in the Middle East a campaign against extremism and animosity?” adding,” Those who accuse us of expanding hostility and extremism, what practical measure have they taken against the terrorism and extremism plaguing the world?”

When asked on recognition of Israel in view of Iran, Ayatollah Araki said,” We are not neighboring or in direct confrontation with Israel but Tel Aviv has always been in clashes with its neighbors since the beginning of the government and according to analysts, it has not been able to open peaceful relations with its neighbors.”

Secretary General of the World Forum referred to a proposal by Islamic Republic of Iran which is a logical plan in compliance with international laws which is on a referendum between Christians, Jews and Muslims to make decision on formation of a government and bring peace in the country in a bid to prevent more bloodshed in the region.

“We intend to bring peace in the region but those who wish war in the Middle East and in the world to sell their arms distort the reality” noted the scholar.

Iran’s Ayatollah Mohsen Araki heading a delegate of Shia and Sunni figures is on trip to Brazil to attend the international conference on Muslims and ways to confront terrorism and extremism.
