Iran under most robust nuclear verification regime

Following US president's decision to decertify Iran's nuclear deal, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency once again reiterated Iran's full commitment to the agreement.
Iran under most robust nuclear verification regime

The chief of the UN atomic watchdog reiterated on Friday that Iran was under the world's "most robust nuclear verification regime" following US President Donald Trump's hostile speech against Iran and his decision to decertify a 2015 Iran nuclear deal, in defiance of other world powers.

"The nuclear-related commitments undertaken by Iran under the JCPOA are being implemented," Yukiya Amano, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency said.

Meanwhile, all other sides to the deal voiced their full support for the nuclear agreement, expressing concerns over the possible implications with Trump’s decision not to recertify Iran’s compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

In reponse to Trump's call for a revision of the nuclear deal, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed that the agreement would remain intact and no article or paragraph would be added to or removed from it.

Iran has maintained that the only criterion for judgment on the country's compliance with the agreement is the reports of the IAEA Director-General.
