Hajj, an important axis for proximity of Islamic denominations
Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs, in an interview with Hajj website, highlighted Hajj as an important worship manifest in Islam stressing the necessity of ritual for boosting proximity of different Islamic denominations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He noted the Hajj ritual as an opportunity for Muslims to know other Muslims and history of Islam besides the spiritual achievements of the journey.

The cleric referred to the proximity aspects of Hajj and said,” Hajj teaches us lessons of unity and fraternity because convention of millions of Muslims from across the globe and their stress on monotheism and prophecy is important to them.”

Ayatollah Taskhiri also highlighted the mission of Muslim clerics and elites to make use of the Hajj pilgrimage for boosting Islamic proximity and confrontation with hostile intrigues.

Top Shia cleric also touched upon the recent negotiations between Iran and Saudi Hajj authorities and said,” Honor of the pilgrims who will attend the annual pilgrimage is vital and maintaining that is very important in these talks.”
