Hajj, show of power by Muslims cleric

Mojtaba Zonnour, head of the fraction of clerics in Iran's Parliament in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) called Hajj as a pillar of Islam and a show of power by world Muslims.

He stressed the necessity of Hajj in view of Islam and highlighted the necessity of ceremony for disavowal of the infidels during the annual ceremony.

Representative of Qom in the Parliament added," The ceremony to announce disavowal of infidels is the major Hajj among all rituals during the pilgrimage" reiterating the ceremony as a show of power revealing the true might of Muslim world.

Iranian cleric criticized al-Saud as a serious issue for the world of Islam and said," Al-Saud is a threat for the world of Islam both because of its Wahhabi tendencies and also its dependence on the US."

He called Al Saud dominance on the two holy mosques as the plague for the world of Islam and stressed," Despite these issues Hajj should not be marginalized or boycotted."

He stressed that Muslims should not forget the annual Hajj pilgrimage unless there are security issues saying," If security is maintained we should participate in the ritual because the partaking of Iranian pilgrims beside Muslims from other countries create the beautiful perspective of Islamic unity."
