Syrian grand Mufti thanks Iran for supporting his country

Giving speech in Friday prayer held in Tehran Capital City, the grand Mufti of Syria, Sheikh Hassoun hailed Iranian nations their effort in backing Syrian against Takfiri groups, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The religous cleirc who traveled to Iran for partaking in the 30^th edition of International Islamic Unity Conference hailed Iranian nation and government for liberatng the city of Aleppo and cleaning area from terrorists .

"Syria achieved triumph with the will of God," said Sheikh Hassoun adding Gaza and Quds will also be liberated with God’s will.

The closing Ceremony of the 30th Islamic unity conference entitled "Unity, Necessity of Countering Takfiri movements" was held Saturday, 18 December in Iranian Capital City of Tehran with religious thinkers and elites across the globe in attendance.

The unity event this year was centered on the hows of countering Takfiri groups for boosting unity among Muslims and braving the standing problems the World of Islam is mired in.

Role of Takfiri currents in fomenting discord among Muslims, the need for countering Takfiri currents in order for realizing Islamic unity, the danger of Takfiri currents for keeping alive the issue of Palestine, and the Zionist regime’s use of Takfiri currents were among the topics discussed at the three-day event.
