Israeli forces detained 17-year-old Nour al-Din al-Faghuri after raiding and searching his family home in the occupied village of Wadi Rahhal in southern Bethlehem and confiscated the father’s vehicle.

Israeli forces earlier detained 45-year-old Imad Ali Shweiki from the al-Saff Street in the centre of the city during a house search for his son, former prisoner Mohammed Shweiki.

Meanwhile, in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, the Israeli army raided the Rummana village, according to Palestinian news. Flying checkpoints had been set up inside the village. Several minors have been reported to have been interrogated.

The current Israeli government boasts it has done more for the expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories than any other previous government.

"No other government has done as much for settlements in the land of Israel as the government which I lead,” said Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

"Our generation has succeeded in achieving what past generations only dreamed about... We have returned to our home land, and have turned it once again into a land of milk and honey."

Israeli settlements are illegal under international law.
