Cleric calls for Islamic unity, knowing enemies

Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani, senior Shia jurisprudent, opened his weekly class in the grand mosque in the holy city of Qom counting Islamic unity and knowing the enemies as the first important missions for all Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He criticized the US over the war in Yemen and Bahrain saying,” United States intends to guarantee the security of Zionists by creating Takfiri groups, aiding its puppets in the Middle East region and sparking war in Bahrain and Yemen.”

He warned that the US has focused its hostility on Iran since Islamic Republic is standing in line against arrogant powers and is the key element in uniting regional forces.

“To maintain an optimist view on the US is a result of ignorance because the breach of JCPOA and renewal of anti-Iran sanctions have proved the meanness of the US and its lack of commitment to any all deals” said the cleric.

Ayatollah Noori Hamedani referred to the present situation of the Muslim world and stressed,” Unfortunately enemies have brought the biggest damage to Muslims by dividing Muslims and creating fake denominations like Wahhabism as well as Takfiri and Salafi groups.”

He urged Muslim scholars and elites to react against the accusations through solidarity and cooperation and noted,” Shia and Sunni communities are obliged to introduce and voice disavowal of extremist groups.”
