East and West, loyal to neither Shia nor Sunni but to their benefits
Sheikh Bilal Saeed Sha’aban, secretary general of Lebanon’s Tawhid Islami movement, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) on the sideline of 30th Islamic Unity Conference demanding Shia and Sunni communities to agree on a shared language for communications.

He praised the Islamic unity conference for convening different Islamic denominations together and said,” We should struggle for witnessing practical feedback of the achieved results out of the conference and a day that there is no disagreement between different denominations.”

Lebanese cleric noted,” Mohammad (PBUH) was neither Shia nor Sunni. So was Ali (AS); therefore, the problem lies in our views when we see Shia and Sunni arraying against each other” and added,” Neither Putin will defend Ahlul Bayt (AS), nor Obama will stand up for the Sunni Muslims because they are all pursuing their economic interests.”

He underlined necessity of Muslims’ loyalty for Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and his companions and avoiding any dispersion since that will be the first step in the path of launching a unified world of Islam.

Lebanese cleric expressed regret for lack of unity among more than one and half billion Muslims who play no role in the political arena of the world and expand ethnic differences while Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) did not differentiate between his companions from different countries or complexions.
