Current Islamic unity, owed to Imam Khomeini (RA)

Hassan Hanizadeh, Iranian political analyst on the Middle East affairs in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) related on the views of Imam Khomeini (RA) on proximity of Islamic denominations calling that as one of the challenges for the late founder of Islamic Revolution, since the beginning of his confrontations with Pahlavi system.

He hailed Imam Khomeini (RA) as one of the few leaders who promoted the proximity of Islamic denominations in a wide range and said,” Imam Khomeini (RA) stressed that the minor religious disagreements should be marginalized so that solidarity is highlighted because the world of Islam is incapable of confronting arrogant powers while disunited.”

The analyst referred to ideology of late Imam Khomeini (RA) that Islamic nation should maintain full unity and avoid dispersing issues in order to beat arrogant enemies.

He praised the success achieved by Imam Khomeini (RA) in unifying the Islamic denominations and carrying out the objective and said,” If we witness any solidarity among different Islamic communities, it is owed to the guidelines of late Imam Khomeini (RA).”

He noted that world arrogant powers are concerned over unity among Muslims and their struggles to divide Muslims saying,” What we witness in regards to disagreements and intensification of the crisis in the region is due to infiltration of the arrogant powers among Muslims.”
