Senior Iranian cleric attended the opening ceremony of the center of Islamic sciences and provided recommendations on the banking system in Iran.

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, detailed his views on different aspects of banking systems referring to the shortcomings of the one in Iran, Taqrib News Agency (TNA) has quoted Asriran as saying.
He divided saving system into a personal behavior when an individual collects money saying,” If a robbery happens the offence includes one person.”
The cleric then related on the banking system when people deposit their money with an institute and added that robbery from this system is a different type since the misdeed includes a group of people.
Ayatollah Araki demanded on the bizarre output of Iranian banks expressing regret that the system has been confirmed by the Guardian Council as “without any inconvenience in regards to Islamic Sharia law” though, when practiced, the system has proved to be one of the worst in the world.
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said the shortcoming lies in misconduct and mismanagement of the system.
The cleric added that the banking system is in line with personalized Sharia law and added,” Authorities have promised that the banking system will be built based on Islamic contracts with part of the contracts performed within the framework of Mudarabah (Islamic contract with one party supplying money and the other management expertise), another part within the framework of corporation and another part in the form of renting.”
Ayatollah Araki stressed that the output for combination of aforesaid contracts would not be a healthy banking system.
Member of the Assembly of Experts in his remarks added,” A banking system is a different field form collecting money in order to run the economic and production of a society with this sum and promote the merchandize in a country.
He called for deduction of the certain Fiq’h for banking demanding for more discussion on the field.
