Prominent Iranian cleric hailed the recent letter by top jurisprudent to the grand Sheikh of Al Azhar stressing that closet ties between Muslim clerics is an important strategy to foil Takfir (excommunication).

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mojtaba Kalbasi, director of Mahdism Center in the Iranian holy city of Qom, referred to a dialogue between grand Sheikh of Al Azhar, Sheikh Ahmad al Tayyeb, and Iranian top jurisprudent, grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, expressing regret over the damages inflicted by ignorance and vain prejudices, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said," Takfir and corruption have brought massive damages to the world of Islam." and extended his concerns over the increase of the issue in comparison with the past.
Professor at seminary warned against religious disagreements, Takfir and corruption as some important reasons for mustiness of Muslims throughout history and noted," Muslim community used to be on top of the world in regards to its power and civilization but disagreements, distancing from true Islam and intensification of religious disagreements led to topple of the Islamic civilization to the point that we are behind the world in regards to technology and science."
Senior scholar elaborated his view on the reasons for lag of the Muslims and said," One of the most important factors in lag of the Muslims is their distance which has been increased by terror groups like ISIL and arrogant powers of the world."
Referring to the solutions against enemies of Islam, Hujjat-ul-Islam Kalbasi noted," One of the most important ways to counter Takfir is unity and more closeness between members of the Islamic community." and added," Increasing the ties between Muslim clerics for more talks and solving the disagreements are the solutions to prevent the bloodshed and more problems in the world of Islam."
He added that the recent measure by grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi and Al Azhar grand Sheikh is a continuation to the positive moves by previous clerics which has to be highlighted since talks on the disagreements will prevent anti-Islam intrigues.
Director of Mahdism Center highlighted the important mission of Muslim scholars in parallel to the struggles of the enemies of Islam to shed the blood of Muslims extending hopes that the step taken by both Shia and Sunni scholars be maintained in future.
