Addressing the muftis he said, “As far as I know, Georgia is considered as a religious country; it’s because of Muslims’ unity and solidarity that they are living peaceful lives there.”

According to Rasa, the Shia source of emulation warned the Georgian muftis on the danger of Wahhabis’ infiltration in their country saying, “If the enemy infiltrates in your country, they would not let this unity remain among Muslim community, they would do anything to undermine your resolve as a whole united Muslim body.”

“It is easy to see that Islam’s enemies have caused a lot of trouble throughout the Islamic world, therefore, it gains even more importance to sustain your unity in Georgia and work hard to keep it that way," underlined the religious cleric.

“Islam is growing rapidly and it will be promoted everywhere given that Muslims put aside their differences and unite in their resolve as a whole body, it’s only then that we would be able to solve our problems and confront the influence of foreigners,” said Ayatollah Makarem.

Advising the Georgian Scholars, Ayatollah Makarem added, “Be careful of your youth conditions, since one of the enemies’ main ways of infiltration is through influencing the youth in your country; if we manage to protect our younger generations through their educational course, they will not be affected by foreigners’ plots.”
