“Union of Muslims, key aspect of Hajj”, Iranian MP
Member of Iran’s Parliament stressed Islamic unity as the important aspect of Hajj and warned against lack of proper understanding as the reason for disagreements among different denominations.

Jalil Rahimi Jahan Abadi, member of proximity fraction in Iran’s Parliament, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) highlighted Hajj as an ideological pillar of all Muslims which should be performed by anyone who affords the pilgrimage.
He said,” The important aspect of Hajj is the union of Muslims when they convene in an annual meeting to show their solidarity and support as well as a better understanding of each other.”
Head of the Sunni community fraction added,” Hajj brings an equal opportunity for all denominations to meet each other and clear all negative images made up by enemies of Islam and reach a better understanding through dialogue.”
He noted that Iranian nation have important political discussions to mention and said,” There are some ideological challenges between Shia and Sunni communities and Hajj can provide Muslims with the opportunity to be familiarized with other denominations and reach more convergence.”
Member of proximity fraction in Parliament said,” Hajj is a conduit for Iranian pilgrims to send the message of Islamic Revolution to the world” and added,” Four decades have passed since the victory of Islamic Revolution and Iranian nation has reached political and economic independence and Hajj is a time for sending the message of our 1979 uprising when there has been a massive propaganda against Islamic Revolution in the world of Islam.”
“Hajj is a proper opportunity for us to send the message of our Islamic Revolution not trhough official ambassadors and diplomats but through ordinary people,” Jalil Rahimi Jahan Abadi stressed and said,” Household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) stand in a special stance for all Islamic denominations and affection for Ahlul Bayt (AS) is among ideological principles of all Muslims.”
Head of the Sunni community fraction in the Parliament reiterated,” Hajj proves it to Muslims that the world of Islam includes diverse understandings of a single path and all Muslims are common in their love for God Almighty, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and his household, Ahlul Bayt (AS).
He stressed Hajj pilgrimage as a sacred privilege when Muslims resolve any possible disagreement or hatred in following a single dressing code and performing the same ritual.
He said,” Unfortunately Islamic countries perform Hajj pilgrimage under different flags, symbols and ideologies not noting that the main point in Hajj is in marginalizing the differences and creating convergence because Hajj is basically a symbol of monotheism in the world of Islam.”
Iranian MP expressed hope that Hajj creates the opportunity to prevent extremism, boost solidarity and decrease lack of knowledge by followers of different denominations so that the whole world of Islam moves towards forming a unified body.
