He said that under such circumstances Iran is regarded as the safest country in the Middle East.
He advised the poitical parties to avoid historical mistakes and maintain the sound status.

Rasfanjani made the remarks in a meeting with a group of Ulema and clerics from Tehran and Alborz provinces.
He advised the country's officials to remove obstacles and help the youth experience a desirable lifestyle.

He said Shia and Sunni Muslims should live in peace and all should prevent religious extremists to sow discord among them.

"The enemies try to introduce Islamic Ummah mainly the Shia Muslims as sponsor of terrorism in order to promote Islamophobia," he said.

Rafsanjani deplored violation of civil rights of Shia religious leader in Bahrain and criticized the Bahraini government for trampling upon rights of the Shia community.

"It is a regret that the rulers of a minor despotic regime have stripped a Shia religious leader Sheikh Isa Qasim of civil rights in a Shia majority society," he said.
