Ifta international conference kicks off in Cairo

International conference for Ifta kicked off on Tuesday as initiative of the Egyptian Islamic institution, Dar Al-Ifta Al-Missriyyah under the direction of President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi.

The conference with the theme of "Fatwa Role in Maintaining Societies' Stability" will be hosted in the capital Cairo from 17-19 October 2017, Taqrib News Agency (TNA) has quoted Egypt today as saying.
 

The platform promotes the culture of understanding, coexistence and dialogue, mufti Shawqi Allam said in statements to MENA.

He added that courses and symposiums will be offered during the conference along with maximizing the benefit from latest technologies to serve the goals of Dar al ifta.

The platform comprises a set of lectures as well as training, educational, cultural and behavioral programs, mufti Allam pointed out.

Dar al Ifta-affiliate the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide will host the third international conference with the participation of delegations representing 60 countries.

The move came as part of the continuous coordination between the Foreign Ministry and Dar Al-Ifta; seeking to highlight Egypt’s efforts in denouncing extremist discourses.
