Hujjat-ul-Islam Ali Younesi, Special Assistant to the President on Ethnics and Religious Minorities Affairs, hailed President Rouhani’s innovative slogan calling for a world against violence calling thinkers, elites and the loyal to Islamic nation to propose solutions against extremism and cooperate with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Attending the closing ceremony of 7th meeting of World Islamic Forum in the Iranian city of Yazd, calling all ethnic groups and religious minorities, on behalf of the President, to unity vowing to defend their rights and stand against inequality, segregation or disparage.
 
He addressed the participants, from 35 countries across the globe, and said,” OIC is in charge of fulfilling all these missions and you thinkers and intellectuals are in pursuit of compiling and proposing practical solutions for the issues.”
 
The cleric noted,” At present, world of Islam is harassed with extremism, violence and murder a seemingly rise of Islam against Islam or religious against religion plaguing most Muslim nations with insecurity, homicide and civil war.”
 
He added,” An Islamic state will never return to its origins through bombing, murder and bloodshed rather we get farthest from our religion.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Younesi referred to Qur’an as the only common document shared by all Muslims and said,” First it is noteworthy that holy book of Islam, in different cases, has stressed diversity and pluralism to the point that human life will not realize without this diversity.”
 
He added,” Qur’an hails diversity in ethnic, religious, racial and languages of the people as an opportunity and a sign for monotheism.” And noted,” Holy Qur’an proposes the theory of recognition to settle ethnic and sectarian disagreements and that is to recognize the criticism, differences and disagreements between different groups of people.” And added,” That happens when two people, ethnics, denominations or nations recognize each other and sit for negotiations and find solutions for their problems with respect for mutual rights.”
 
He stressed the way for interaction among Muslims is based on Islamic fraternity and hailed the holy book of Islam for proposing solutions to settle the arguments between Muslims and Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians and all other religions.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Younesi said,” It is our duty to behave atheist and polytheists based on justice.” and added,” The Utopia built by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is ideal for Muslims and tolerable for non-believers meaning that even if non-Muslims do not violate Islamic discipline and maintain their personal beliefs in the light of Islamic government, then the Islamic state is in charge of fulfilling their security.”
 
Iranian Shia cleric stressed that to convene Muslim world thinkers and moving in line with the proposal by President Rouhani based on a world without violence and extremism, which has led to issue of a resolution in the United Nations, is the objective of the 7th World Islamic Forum.
 
Endeavors for mutual understanding, reaching common points in the world of Islam, proposing inclusive teachings of Islamic principles and confrontation with inaccurate definitions of Islamic teachings by deviate movements and violent groups were among other objectives of the meeting in the Iranian city of Yazd.
