Iranian Sunni scholar stresses support for Palestinian nation

Mamusta Abdul Qader Sohrabi, prayer leader of the Sunni community in Mahabad, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) hailed the inspiration by the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA) to call the last Friday in Ramadan as International Al Quds Day calling that the onset for familiarization of the world people with the plight of Palestinian nation.

He warned Muslim world that any ignorance of the Palestine issue would be a serious blow to Muslims.

He said,” International Al Quds Day is the symbol of confrontation of Muslims and liberal nations against the Zionist regime and we are all obliged to fulfill our duty in this regard.”

The cleric highlighted necessity of unity among Muslims and stressed,” The present duty of all Muslims is to rise against the arrogant powers and maintaining solidarity against the oppressive regime of Israel.”

He called al Quds Day as the occasion for noting the world Muslims of intrigues by arrogant powers and said,” Once Muslims are not vigilant over hostile plots, they are threatened with irreversible damages; hence, vigilance of the Muslims is the sole way to foil plots by the enemies.”

Mamusta Sohrabi demanded Muslims to count participation in Al Quds Day as a mission and vowed the massive partaking of the people in Mahabad in Al Quds Day demonstrations as a blow to silence of the international bodies over crimes by the Zionist regime of Israel.
