Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held a coordination meeting with the US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman on the on-going nuclear negotiations.

The public meeting of the foreign ministers of the 5+1 having concluded, bilateral and multilateral meeting among participating delegations are underway.

Currently, the meeting between Araqchi and Sherman is going on.

A source close to the Iranian nuclear team said that the intense meeting and uninterrupted sessions aim at concluding the issue.

Delegations intend to work on the remaining issues even into the night.

The ministerial meeting between Iran and the Group 5+1 and EU was held in the Swiss city of Lausanne on Tuesday.

An Iranian source close to the negotiations told IRNA correspondent that the sides insisted on getting into a result during the negotiations, albeit it will extend till night.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, and his German, French and Chinese counterparts Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Laurent Fabius and Wang Yi, respectively, were present in the meeting.

European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, US Secretary of State John Kerry and British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond also attended the ministerial meeting in the Swiss city.

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov is leading the Russian delegation in the Lausanne meeting on behalf of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Lavrov left Lausanne on Monday evening after taking part in the first round of ministerial talks and is expected to return to Lausanne on Tuesday afternoon.
