'Quranic officials renew allegiance with Imam Khomeini'

The participants, including Quranic officials, Quran teachers, prominent Qaris and memorizers of the Holy Book, placed a wreath at the tomb of the late Imam and renewed allegiance with his aspirations and ideals.

During the ceremony, a statement was also read out in which members of the Quranic community underlined the need for development and promotion of the Quranic culture and the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in the country in order to counter the enemy’s plots for cultural infiltration.

They also called for introducing to the world different aspects of the Islamic civilization, which is based on the teachings of the Quran and the Seerah of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

The ceremony was held ahead of the Ten-Days of Dawn celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.

A large number of Quranic programs, including Quran recitation sessions and Quranic exhibitions, are also planned to be held during the celebrations.

Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of the revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.

The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran marks the beginning of the Ten Days of Dawn, which culminates with the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 10.
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 38 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.

The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
