Chairman of Expediency Council slams Trump’s speech

“It is a historic and political joke that the president of a country, self-proclaiming to be the order layer of the world, to distort a historic fact for a marketing approach to get some Arab countries’ financial and monetary aides,” asserted Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi the Chairman of the Expediency Council, on Saturday. He made the remarks in reaction to Trump’s way of referring to the Persian Gulf.

The grand cleric and official denounced Trump’s provocative manipulation of historic and geographic facts and described his speech as an undiplomatic and imbalanced address. “Nothing more than a host of inappropriate accusations was offered in his verbiage,” stated the Iranian official.

“The US who is the main creator of the ISIL crisis in the region, now that his policies have failed in the region, is posing to burden new problems upon the region like disintegration of countries,” said Ayatollah Shahroudi, “and it sees Iran as the main obstruction to realize its bully-like policies in the region, and that’s why they are angry.”

“The current US president explicitly reminded his campaign rivals that they were the real creators of the ISIL,” said the former judiciary chief, criticizing US president for pointing the blame finger at others after getting into office, “certainly it is now known to the whole world how the ISIL has been created and these false-flag operations are of no use anymore.”

“Mr. Trump’s discourteous accusations demonstrated how angry he is with the IRGC and Iran because it is known by everybody that Iran and IRGC were the main destroyers of the ISIL in the countries of the region,” reassured Ayatollah Shahroudi.
