Islamic Unity Conference, manifest of solidarity among Muslims
Mamusta Yahya Esmaeeli, Sunni prayer leader of Mahabad County, West Azerbaijan Province, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) highlighted Islamic Unity Conference as a necessity amid the present critical situation in the world of Islam.

He stressed the influence of such conferences on boosting ties between different Islamic denominations and added,” Amid the present situation, this conference can be one of the most important measures against hostile invasions.”

The university professor noted that annual Islamic Unity Conference will lead us towards ways to strengthen Islamic unity calling the event as a step towards solving some issues in the world of Islam.

In another part of his interview, he referred to history of disagreements among Muslims and said,” Muslims, as a unified body, should know their shared references and maintain their solidarity because once Shia and Sunni communities resolve their disagreements then they will form a unified Islamic nation.”

Interim prayer leader of Mahabad said,” Disagreement between Shia and Sunni, wherever in the world, should be blamed on colonial powers” adding,” True enemy of Shia and Sunni are the hypocrites who have masterminded ISIL and Takfiri groups.”

Mamusta Esmaeeli concluded,” Hypocrites found that Islam cannotbe uprooted through bullying; hence, they started disuniting Muslims as the only solution and in this line brought British-style Shia and Sunni, ISIL in Syria and Iraq in order to misrepresent Islam under the cover of heinous measures and leave a tarnished image of Islam in the west.”
