A Pakistani Member of Parliament has called for stronger economic ties between Iran and Pakistan.

Maulana Ameer Zaman, Member of Parliament belonging to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) congratulated Iranian people and the government on the anniversary of the Armed Forces Day of Iran.

“I appreciate the achievements made by Iran in defence sector, the day has given us a chance to know about the progress of Iran,” he said.

The lawmaker strongly believed that Iran and Pakistan being neighbors should cooperate to fight common challenges. “We must further boost our ties especially in the time when the western world is hatching conspiracies against Muslims,” he said.

He went on to say that Muslims have to unite and fight against those elements who are trying to divide Uammah. “Key of Ummah success lies in its unity,” he belived.

He said that Pakistan should develop strong relations with all neighboring states especially Iran.

Maulana Ameer Zaman stressed the need for early completion of Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project to overcome energy crisis in Pakistan.

He said that the completion of the IP gas project would further boost Iran-Pakistan economic ties. “We must take our relations with Iran to maximum level,” he viewed.
The Parliamentarian was of the opinion that upcoming visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Tehran is highly significant and would help both countries to further cement their ties in economic sector.

“We must cooperate with each other so that our enemies cannot accomplish their evil designs against us, our unity is very important for bringing stability in the region,” he opined.

The political leader said that those countries which are interfering in our region have their own agenda. “They are creating problems for Muslim countries for their own interests,” he said.

He added that western states are not fighting war against terrorism but they are fighting a war to spread terrorism.

He noted that Nato is a forum against Ummah so the Muslims must unite to frustrate the conspiracies of the West.
