Highlighting commonalities, best strategy to realize Islamic proximity

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamidreza Arbab Soleimani, deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) hailed the activities of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and TNA for expansion of unity across the Muslim world calling the news agency as the source for transmission of unifying and proximity principles.

He said,” The most important point on the issue of proximity is religious commonalities because we should study into the issues which have led to creation of unity and expansion of Islam during the first century following the appearance of the holy religion.”

The religious figure noted,” Prophet of Islam constantly recommended the people to maintain friendship and security among the people and as a result of that the tribes which had been in long years of clashes among themselves started to reconcile and approach each other in peace and fraternity.”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Soleimani quoted holy Qur’an on solidarity among Muslims and said,” If we intend to contribute to promotion of Islamic proximity in the world of Islam, then we have to highlight the commonalities and avoid any provocative topic.”

He hailed holy Qur’an and Ahlul Bayt (AS) as symbols of unity through which all Muslims can achieve Islamic unity.
