In its most recent military attacks, Israeli forces killed one Palestinian in Rafah and five others in Khan Yunis.

A Palestinian journalist was also killed, succumbing to injuries sustained in an Israeli attack.

Earlier, Israeli forces killed at least 17 people and injured 200 others in a busy market in Shejaiya district near the Gaza City.

The military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, also fired retaliatory rockets, hitting Israel’s Kerem Shalom and setting off sirens.

Moreover, Israel’s Zikim naval base has reportedly come under attack. Sirens have also been sounded in Eshkol Regional Council.

Reports say that about 140 Israeli soldiers have been wounded, with 14 being in critical condition.

Tel Aviv says that overnight it attacked over 19 locations in Gaza.

Israel has been pounding the Gaza Strip since July 8. The air, sea and land strikes by Israel have also left thousands of others in the coastal sliver. Israeli forces also began a ground offensive against the impoverished Palestinian land on July 17. About 300 children have been killed.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue attacks against Gaza.

Earlier in the day, Israel mobilized 16,000 reservists for the ground military operations in Gaza, putting the total number at 86,000.

Tel Aviv has targeted hospitals, clinics, and shelters over the past 24 days.
