“Trump’s Mideast visit targets Islamic unity”: Sunni cleric

Prominent Iranian Sunni scholar referred to Trump’s visit to the Middle East region as a move to secure US interests, sealing arms deal, spread of division among Muslims and also supporting the Zionist regime of Israel.

Molavi Abdul Hamid Esmaeel Zehi, prayer leader of Makki mosque in Zahedan, highlighted the US President’s objective behind his Middle East visit and hailed the massive turnout of the Iranians in the recent Presidential election as a great move which ruined the first foreign trip for Donald Trump, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said the trip by US President was in line with benefits of the US to sell its arms.
 
Manager of Dar-ul-Ulum Sunni Seminary in Sistan and Baluchistan Province warned against the current situation in the world of Islam and called Muslims to unite together saying,” Some Islamic countries are so dependent that cannot make the least move without the assistant from foreign countries.”
 
He referred to the issue of Palestine and stressed,” Islamic countries should ban relations with the Zionist regime before Israel liberates Palestine.”
 
He warned against Muslim division as disadvantageous for Islam and beneficial for the Zionist regime of Israel since the present dispersion of Muslim countries has guaranteed the security of Israel.
