Top Syrian cleric participating in the conference of the Union of Islamic Resistance Ulima demanded world Muslim scholars to join and voice their unity.

Sheikh Ahmad Badr el Din Hassoun, in his speech, at the meeting of the Union for the Islamic Resistance Ulima, stressed importance of unity among scholars from difference Islamic denominations across the world saying that we can confront our enemies through our solidarity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to the influence of pulpits and the role of Muslim scholars in the Islamic societies and said," Is there a party in the world that can gather millions of Syrian or Iraqi people on a Friday?"
 
Syrian Mufti also referred to the tensions in the world of Islam and said," What is happening in Yemen, Syria and Iraq is not a sectarian, religious or tribal war."
 
He added," We have gathered here to help Islamic nations and we will fight till we achieve victory if you join us but if you don't here we vow that we will achieve victory in all fronts."
 
Sheikh Hassoun demanded Muslim countries to follow the example of Iran's resistance and said," Iran has been paying for its supportive stance for the issues of the Muslim world and the issue of Palestine though it has made it to provide for the rights of its own people by maintaining resistance."
 
Syrian cleric also touched upon the issue of Palestine and said," All these battles and intrigues are waged so that we forget the issue of Palestine though we will not forget the first Qibla (praying direction of Muslims)." vowing a near congregation of all Muslims in Al Quds.
