'Muslim clerics should iron out disputations'

Iran top cleric urged Muslim thinkers and elites to reason out their conflicts, making a move to contend the present setbacks they are facing with.

 
“Muslim clerics should think of ways for ironing out their disputations, promoting rapprochement and solidarity among Muslims,” Iran top cleric Ayatollah Hussein Nouri Hamenadi said in a meeting with Azeri scholars and thinkers urging Muslim elites to reason out their conflicts for contending the present setbacks they are facing with, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
“Given the narrations and holy Quran verses, the main onus on clerics is being aware of their time's issues and events occurring around them,” said Ayatollah Nouri Hamenadi noting clerics as well should take the cognizance of Jihad.
 
The grand Ayatollah spurred on religious clerics and thinkers to sort out their discords, preserve solidarity among Muslims, and promote unity among Muslims from different Islamic denominations and sects in the World of Islam.

 
Qom seminary instructor called on clerics to be much more vigilant toward enemies’ schemes and the arrogant powers’ moves against Muslims, counteracting their plots through the avenue of brotherhood and empathy.
 
To the senior cleric, Shia and Sunnis should not be parted over meretricious arguments, all the same it is shouldered by them to do their utmost for solving their conflicts and get too well united against the enemies at the present situation.
 

Arrived in Baku on Monday morning for a 6-day visit, Qom Seminary instructor, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani traveled to the Republic of Azerbaijan upon the invitation of Azeri clerics and thinkers.

During his visit to the former Soviet republic, the religious jurisprudent is scheduled to meet Muslim scholars, intellectuals and elites and visit several Azerbaijani religious centers and academic institutes. The Ayatullah will also visit Juma mosque in Shamakhi, Nizami Ganjavi and Shah Abbas Imamzade mausoleums in Ganja.

Ayatollah Nouri Hamenadi is to pay respect to Azerbaijani shahids at the Alley of Martyrs, visiting Bibi-Heybat Mosque and performing a prayer at Tezepir mosque in Baku.
 
Needless to say, Azerbaijan Republic has a population of 10 million 95 percent of whom are Muslims. Azerbaijan and Iran have had diplomatic relations since 1918. Iran recognized Azerbaijan's independence in 1991 and diplomatic relations between the two countries were reestablished in 1992.

Currently, the two countries are focused on expanding ties in various fields, including economy, culture, tourism, education and etc.
