'Crossing red lines in N-talks treachery to Islamic system'

Qom’s Friday prayers’ leader said Iranian nuclear negotiators know that if they seek a compromise which sells Iran’s rights to its enemies and cross the red lines established by Ayatollah Khamenei, it would be considered as treachery to Iran’s sacred Islamic system.
During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a crowd of believers in Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah (S), Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi referred to Iran’s ongoing nuclear negotiations with the P5+1 group of countries, stressing that none of the honourable members of Iran’s negotiating team will ever settle for less than what is Iran’s right, nor will they cross the red lines which Ayatollah Khamenei has set forth, because they know that this would be considered as colluding with the enemy and committing treachery against the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi pointed to the upcoming anniversary of the demise of Imam Ruhollah Khomeini on June 3rd, saying the late Imam taught us a great lesson as he did not trust Iran’s many enemies, especially the imperialist United States. For this reason, the slogan “Death to America” has not fallen as the slogan of the Islamic Revolution, even after 36 years.

He added that Imam Khomeini did not separate religion from politics and introduced pure Muhammad Islam to the world. He strived to establish the rule of God Almighty and Islam in the world and rejected the Islam being propagated by Saudi Arabia and the United States and believed it as his mission to defend the oppressed and dispossessed of the world.

“All of these principles given by Imam Khomeini should be a lesson for Iranian officials,” Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi stressed.

In the context of Iran’s low population growth and the problems associated with it, His Eminence explained that Iran’s low population growth constitutes a disaster for a country that is considered a role model and an influential Islamic country in the world.

He added that parents and children will also witness negative results of low population growth in the future.

In regard to the upcoming birth anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Mahdi, the awaited saviour and 12th Imam, His Eminence suggested that this day should also be called the “International Day for the Oppressed.”

“We hope that due to this blessed day, the oppressed people of Yemen, Syria and Iraq, will be victorious over the House of Saud’s oppressive regime as well as their allies, the United States and Israel,” he said.
