President' aide: Islam is against Takfiris

"Different branches of Islam are against Takfiris' activities," president's special aide on ethnic and religious minorities affairs said Sunday.

"There is no ideological movement following the terrorist group of Takfiris in Iran," Hojjatoleslam Ali Younesi told IRNA in an exclusive interview.

"Iran is a pioneer in fight against terrorist group of Daesh, also known as ISIS," said the official stressing, "those countries which are now victims of terrorism have a history of supporting the ominous phenomenon."

"All nations should be determined to fight seriously with Daesh," added president's special aide on ethnic and religious minorities affairs.

Younessi further stressed the need to preserve unity among Muslims and the Islamic nations.

"Turning to the issue of the Zionist regime, the official said the root cause of Islamophobia could be traced to the Zionists," he said.
