Issue of Palestine engulfing the globe: cleric

Hujjat-ul-Islam Sadeq Taghavi, member of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) bureau in Karachi stressed Palestine as an international issue which involves the whole world and that the more tense relations between Israel and Palestine, the worse situation turns for Jerusalem.

He referred to Riyadh conference on the issue of Palestine calling that a shame for the world of Islam since the so-called guardian of the two holy mosques
convenes leaders of 29 Islamic countries in a conference chaired by the US President Donald Trump.

Pakistani cleric expressed regret that Riyadh conference ruined the struggles by Palestinians, formed Qatar crisis and blacklisted the country as a pro-terrorist state saying,” The visit made by the US President to Saudi Arabia and Israel proved that Washington, Tel Aviv and Riyadh are not only against Muslims but also a hinder to freedom of Palestine.”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Taghavi related on the naming of Al Quds Day by the late founder of Islamic Revolution and said,” All wars between the right
and evil are inspired by late Imam Khomeini (RA), the person who called the last Friday in the Month of Ramadan as international Al Quds Day” and added,” All liberal movements in the world or rallies in support of Palestine are due to struggles by Imam Khomeini (RA).”

According the Pakistani MP, international al-Quds Days should be marked throughout the year and not on one day only.

When asked on the unity of Muslims on al Quds Day he said,” This is not an issue limited to the Shia community because Quds is the Qibla for all Muslims and Muslims from all Islamic denominations are involved in this movement.”

He
hailed the participation of the Sunni community in countries with a minority number of Shia Muslims because the movement is meant to support the oppressed against the oppressors.

Pakistani religious figure also touched upon the influences of solidarity rallies across the globe and said,” The voice of people protesting US and Israel are heard from their seat in the United Nations as the two arrogant powers are concerned over the might of Muslims.”

He concluded,”Muslims are awake and this awakening will lead to freedom of the Palestine and Al-Quds.”
