Many Iraqi nationals from across the country have begun the great march of Arbaeen some of them departing their homes in southern cities like Basra, 500 kilometers away. The journey is scheduled to end in Karbala in the day of Arbaeen which marks the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
