People from across Iran, some visiting the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) on Nowruz vacation, attended the ceremony to welcome the fasting month of Ramadan. Located in Iran's northeastern city of Mashhad, the shrine of Imam Reza (AS), eighth Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), hosts millions of Iranian and foreign tourists, particularly during Nowruz and summer holidays.
