People attend Qur’an recitation meetings at the holy shrine of Shah Abdul Azim Hassani in southern Tehran. The meetings are especially held in mosques and holy shrines every day during the fasting month of Ramadan. The participants recite one part, out of 30 parts from the holy book of Islam, so at the end of Ramadan they have completed reciting the holy book once. Shah Abdul Azim was a descendent of Imam Hassan (AS) the second Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
